About Me

I am a master's candidate in child development at Tufts University, with an ultimate goal of obtaining a Ph.D. in developmental psychology.  I graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington in 2009 with my B.A. in psychology, Summa Cum Laude.  While my goals have changed over time from a desire to be a counselor to my current dream to be a researcher, my love of working with children has been unwavering.  From my high school experiences of babysitting and volunteering for the story/craft time at my local library, to my more recent experiences as a 4-H leader and aunt, I have loved every moment of working with young children.  My interests lie in children’s emotional development, but also the utilization of new technologies to capture children’s responses during the research process.  For this purpose, I am very much interested in understanding the ways children not only interact with technology, but try to interact with it and what they find easy and fun about technological processes.
